she has a certain softness to her here that really doesn't appear at any other point in the prelude, and it's the one section of the story where she's alive and unmasked and she doesn't have any idea what to say or do next. no more jokes, no more tricks.
just her servant's cloak and a million questions she's too proud to ask.
